Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English model, actor and former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She became famous in the early 1990s. As Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral received global interest in the media, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. It instantly brought her fame in the media. Hurley's relationship to Estee Lauder, a cosmetics maker, has been seen as a high point in her career. Hurley was first offered a modeling contract with the company at the age of 29 years old. The company has used Hurley as a model for their products particularly for perfumes including Sensuous Intuitions as well as Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington was her most famous character in Mike Myers hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me(1999). Hurley designs and models the brand's eponymous collection of beachwear. The track sparked debate, with some critics accusing it of encouraging homosexual relationships, and some claiming that the sexually explicit situation depicted in the song was intended to cater to men's fantasies. Nevertheless the combination of sensuality and polished music helped I Kissed a Girl become a number one hit in multiple countries powering the sales of her album One of the Boys (2008). The sharp, bouncey second track was well-loved. The album Perry created in large portion sold more than three million copies.
